We need to strengthen our team with an additional railway technician. Are you a technician who enjoys working on railways and with varied outdoor work? Do you thrive working in a team with a focus on delivery? We will need to recruit during the fall, and our focus is on finding the right person, so we're starting by gauging interest now. What will my work tasks be? In essence, you will work on addressing both major and minor faults in communication systems at and near the track areas. In your role, you will be part of both acute fault resolution and planned reconstructions, and it is important to be able to perform quickly, professionally, and with a high safety mindset. In your role, you will: maintain critical infrastructure both independently and in a team troubleshoot and repair service and replace copper and fiber cables offer high-quality service to customers As a technician, you have many different contacts, both internally at Eltel and with customers. Sometimes you need to procure what is needed to solve the customer's problem yourself, and it is very important that communication works well. You report your time daily via phone or computer and report continuously during and after completed work. The position may involve emergency call-outs outside regular working hours, and night work occurs (with compensation, of course). This is because we offer our customers 24/7 service, while also ensuring that your work situation functions based on your circumstances and that your life outside work is balanced. To succeed in this role, you need to: Have completed upper secondary education Have a few years of experience working in a railway environment Be a certified fiber technician, or have experience working with fiber Master Swedish in speech and writing Have a B-category driving license for manual transmission vehicles Have a flexible work approach as the working day may need to be reprioritized Be able to pass a comprehensive security clearance as this position is classified in a security class As a person, you are structured and comfortable in outdoor environments.
