Selecta Recruitment is seeking an experienced interim chief executive for a longer consulting assignment with a government agency in the Stockholm area.

About the assignment
The organization is undergoing a period of change and development with several parallel transformation initiatives. At the same time, there are operational and organizational challenges that need to be managed with structure, clarity, and momentum.
As interim chief executive, you will support and assist the organization's managers in both strategic and operational leadership.
The assignment includes, among other things:
- Analyzing the current situation and identifying prioritized initiatives
- Creating structure, momentum, and coordination within the organization
- Supporting managers on strategic and operational matters
- Coordinating and driving transformation efforts
- Leading and following up on improvement initiatives
- Developing analyses, decision-making materials, and recommendations for management
- Contributing to organizational development and effective working methods
- Creating stability in daily operations during ongoing change
You will have an important role in strengthening managers' conditions to lead the organization through change and help ensure implementation capacity.
Required qualifications
To be suitable for this assignment, you need to have:
- Academic education in leadership, management, logistics, maritime affairs, or equivalent experience deemed equivalent
- At least two years of experience as an interim chief executive
- Documented ability to combine strategic analysis with operational implementation
- Documented strong results from operational management
- Experience developing analyses, decision-making materials, and recommendations for management
- Ability to drive and follow up on improvement initiatives in complex operational environments
- Experience in change management and organizational development
Meritorious qualifications
It is particularly advantageous if you have:
- Experience leading other managers
- Experience managing 24/7 operations
Workplace
Work is performed primarily on-site at the agency's offices in the Stockholm area. Opportunity for remote work up to two days per week may be available.
