About the Role and Examples of Responsibilities
We are now seeking an experienced interim operations manager for a municipal organization in Östergötland. The assignment involves overall management responsibility with a focus on creating a secure organization, secure employees, and good collaboration between operations, support functions, and political leadership.
You will lead the operations through an intensive period with several ongoing and planned procurements. The role therefore places high demands on strategic leadership, good understanding of the public sector, and extensive knowledge of public procurement and LOU.
An important part of the assignment is to create conditions for active employee engagement where employees are given the opportunity to take responsibility, be involved, and contribute to the development of operations. You work inclusively, transfer knowledge, and contribute to clear roles, common goals, and a climate that encourages initiative.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Lead and develop operations at strategic and operational level.
- Create stability, structure, and good conditions for managers and employees.
- Ensure good collaboration with political leadership, support functions, and other operations.
- Drive and support work related to public procurement and LOU.
- Contribute with change management and strategic workforce planning.
- Strengthen employee engagement through inclusive and developmental leadership.
- Ensure that operations work efficiently and with residents' best interests in focus.
Your Background, Experience, and Qualifications
- University or college degree in a relevant field, for example municipal infrastructure or law.
- At least 10 years of experience in leading positions within municipal administration.
- At least 10 years of experience leading managers.
- Documented experience in change management and strategic workforce planning.
- In-depth knowledge of LOU and public procurement.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts and standard contract law.
- At least three reference assignments regarding interim assignments in municipal infrastructure or technology in municipal operations.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.
To succeed in this assignment, we believe you are a confident and experienced leader with strong strategic ability. You are accustomed to building trust, driving change, and leading operations through other managers. Furthermore, you have an easy time collaborating with various stakeholders and navigating a complex organization.
Good to Know
You will be employed as a consultant at Jurek and work on assignment with our client. The assignment is full-time starting in October 2026 and runs for six months.
