At Vattenfall Värme in Uppsala, we are now looking for an instrumentation and automation technician for a stable and future-oriented operation with high technical standards, broad expertise, good work-life balance, and the opportunity to shape the future energy system. About the Role As an instrumentation and automation technician, you will primarily work with both preventive and corrective maintenance within the areas of electrical systems, automation, process IT, field instrumentation, and analytical instrumentation. The work is mostly conducted in our production facilities where assignments come in the form of fault reports or planned maintenance activities. The role offers great variety within different technical areas in complex technical environments. Your main responsibilities: Responsible for executing assigned work orders in our facilities and documenting and reporting completed work in SAP and other systems. Plan and prioritize your work, both independently and together with the team, based on assigned work orders. Continuously evaluate performed maintenance measures within your area and, if necessary, initiate maintenance plans or improvements in SAP PM. Identify and initiate improvements that contribute to increased operational safety, availability, and efficiency in our facilities. Requirements We are looking for someone who has: Post-secondary education with an electrical engineering focus on automation or equivalent work experience. Several years of experience working within process or manufacturing industry with a focus on automation and associated field instrumentation, e.g., PLCs, sensors, actuators, sensors, and transmitters. Experience reading/handling circuit diagrams, manuals, etc., which are necessary for carrying out the work. Good knowledge of electrical safety and ESA. Good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish and English. B driver's license is a requirement. Experience with various SCADA systems, Siemens DCS systems, and SAP PM/MM is advantageous. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
