Description
Yrgo is now seeking a professional diving instructor for our Commercial Diver/commercial diving technician training program.
Job Responsibilities
You will work as part of a team where you collaborate with training managers and other instructors to plan and deliver both theoretical and practical diving education, providing instruction in both Swedish and English. You will also develop training materials, and it is important that you maintain current knowledge of the job market, work methods, and industry trends.
As an instructor, you will conduct course evaluations, grading, and examinations in the vocational college program Commercial Diver. You will also participate in LIA (work-based learning) activities: procurement, preparation, mentoring, site visits, and follow-up according to instructions from the training manager and regulatory requirements.
The position also includes maintenance and daily care of all Yrgo diving systems, equipment, and boats.
As an instructor at Yrgo, you will work within our safety management system.
You will also actively participate in systematic workplace environment work and systematic quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications
Required Competencies:
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds a Dive Leader Certificate for B-50 competency.
• Holds a Diving Certificate B-50 and/or IDSA Level 3.
• Has Captain VIII and Machinist VIII certifications and VHF license.
• Has strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Has work experience in the commercial diving industry, including both inshore and offshore diving.
• Holds a Category B driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications:
• Experience leading diving activities and dive operations
• Teaching experience
• Hyperbaric chamber operator certification
• Good computer skills
Personal Qualities:
We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The work is largely outdoors, meaning the prevailing climate is part of the work environment—you should therefore appreciate outdoor work year-round.
You should be flexible and work well collaboratively, both internally and externally. You will work in a small team where the collective expertise is used as broadly as possible.
The employment is permanent; a 6-month probationary period may apply.
