INSPECTOR
(2 positions for an indefinite period, primary workplace: CP "Rīga", Uriekstes iela 16, Rīga, as well as other border control points of the division)

IF YOU HAVE:
Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Civil Service Law;
Higher education in veterinary medicine, agronomy, agriculture, forestry, biology, food science, environmental science, or medicine – at least one of the mentioned fields;
Desirable professional experience in the field/sector;
Computer user skills (MS Office) at a level appropriate for quality performance of work duties;
Excellent knowledge of Latvian;
English language knowledge at a level that allows you to work with import cargo control documents, including certificates and other specialized documents, working with the international TRACES NT system. Ability to independently learn new terminology and procedures using international training platforms;
Category B driver's license;
Willingness to work in a team and ability to cooperate;
Willingness to show initiative and focus on achieving results.

Perform cargo inspections in the border control supervision field – veterinary, phytosanitary, or food and non-food goods border control;
Accurately prepare cargo accompanying documents, use information systems, databases;
Enhance professional knowledge and skills;
Issue invoices for inspected cargo.
