State Labour Inspectorate announces a competition for the position of Inspector at the State Labour Inspectorate's Rēzekne Sector in the Latgale region (one position for an indefinite period, workplace – Atbrīvošanas aleja 90, Rēzekne, LV-4601) State Labour Inspectorate offers: a friendly team; interesting and dynamic work; an opportunity to contribute to ensuring compliance in the field of labor rights and working conditions; experience in the application of labor law, occupational safety, and administrative procedure regulations; a monthly salary of €1250 (before taxes) during the probation period and up to €1420 (before taxes) after the probation period. The monthly salary is determined according to individual salary determination criteria assessment during probation, evaluating the candidate's professional qualifications and competencies, and after probation, additionally evaluating work performance and regular workload; comprehensive and professional training opportunities; health insurance after 3 months, as well as other additional motivation instruments according to work results; support for work-life balance, including flexible working hours and the opportunity to work partially remotely. Key job duties: monitor and control compliance with labor law and occupational safety regulations in enterprises within the supervision territory and promote compliance; review administrative violation cases concerning labor law and occupational safety regulation violations in accordance with the Administrative Liability Law and make decisions on imposing administrative penalties, as well as control the correct and timely execution of the decision on administrative penalties; review and respond to submissions, complaints, and suggestions from natural and legal persons in accordance with the Submission Law; investigate workplace accidents; advise employers and employees on labor law and occupational safety regulation requirements. Requirements for candidates: compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; higher education (preference for candidates with education in law or occupational safety); desired practical experience and knowledge of labor legislation and occupational safety; state language proficiency at the advanced level; ability to work under high-intensity conditions; excellent communication, planning, and control skills; good skills in working with MS Office applications; category B driver's license and ability to drive a car with manual steering system; Documents to submit: a motivated letter of application, where we ask you to describe your compliance with the stated requirements; CV; copies of education documents.
