The Inspectorate for Health and Care (IVO) is in a development phase where our mandate is expanding and placing increasing demands on our oversight. To meet this challenge, we are now strengthening our operations and seeking several inspectors with legal backgrounds for one of our offices in Umeå, Stockholm, Örebro, or Malmö. About the Job As an inspector, you work to contribute to safe and lawful care by exercising oversight of health and medical services. You always work from a user and patient perspective, guided by our oversight policy. Your main duties as an inspector will include: holding a consultative role and being a co-handler in matters concerning individual complaints about health and medical services under the Patient Safety Act, contributing your legal expertise together with other inspectors with legal backgrounds in cross-professional teams, making legal assessments and applying relevant legislation in the health and medical services sector, analyzing and assessing received information, conducting confidentiality assessments when disclosing public records. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: a law degree (Juris Doctor or equivalent), at least two years of current and relevant experience with investigative work, where the experience must be recently acquired, good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is advantageous if you have: familiarity with and experience working with legislation in the health and medical services sector, familiarity with and experience working with legislation concerning public access and confidentiality, current and role-relevant work experience from the public sector.
