Are you a leader whose team is motivated by creating business results through both strategic and operational procurement work? With us, you'll have the opportunity to develop procurement operations and create business value in significant infrastructure projects. We hold a strong market position and operate a broad portfolio of exciting and socially important projects in earthworks, roads, and infrastructure. Now we are entering a future with major investment initiatives in our strategic growth segments: water treatment, hydropower, and electricity distribution. The division has approximately 40 ongoing projects. Some of the larger current projects include: - Forshuvudforsen in Dalarna, where a hydroelectric plant is being rebuilt for future energy needs, - Vattenverket Mon in Gävleborg, a new drinking water facility that secures access to clean water - Kungsängsverket in Uppsala, where an existing wastewater treatment plant is being expanded to meet future demands for sustainable water management. The Role of Procurement Director As Procurement Director, you are responsible for the procurement function within the division. You lead and further develop strategic procurement work while coordinating and following up on operational procurement activities. An important part of the assignment is to develop the procurers' expertise and ensure that the function has the right conditions to contribute to the division's goals. You work closely with project, production, and bidding organizations, with a clear focus on early stages, business phases, and tender phases. The role also includes responsibility for framework agreements and parts of operational procurement work on selected projects. Together you create the best possible conditions for successful and profitable projects. You are involved throughout the procurement process, from supplier dialogues and negotiations to contract review, contract signing, and follow-up. You ensure that our procurement agreements comply with NCC's guidelines and requirements. Since many of our projects are conducted in collaborative forms, you also work closely with our customers to create value and achieve common goals. You have six project procurers reporting to you from various locations within our geography. You lead, support, and develop your team members so they can conduct uniform and business-focused procurement work with high quality. You report to the division's Specialist Manager and are part of the division's management team, where you are expected to actively contribute to the division's development and success. Beyond this, you are part of a network with other procurement directors within both the division and the business area, where experience sharing and collaboration are a natural part of everyday work. About Civil Middle Division The division is part of the Infrastructure business area, which has approximately 320 employees. We conduct operations in earthworks and infrastructure from design and construction to production. The operations are organized in several work groups and conducted in Uppsala, Gävleborg, Dalarna, Västmanland, Södermanland, and Örebro counties. Your Profile as Procurement Director To succeed in the role, we see that you have a relevant higher education degree combined with several years of experience in both operational and strategic procurement, preferably from the construction or infrastructure industry. Experience with construction law or work in complex contract and project environments is an advantage. It is an advantage if you have experience from a leading procurement role, but you can also have a background as a strategic procurement manager, project manager, or another role where procurement issues have been a central part of your responsibility. You thrive in negotiation situations and work with a long-term business perspective. The goal is to create sustainable business relationships that benefit NCC, our customers, and our suppliers. By developing, driving, and implementing procurement strategies, you contribute to strong business relationships and efficient collaboration with the supplier market. As a person, you are communicative, clear, and engaging. You build trust and engagement through a coaching approach and contribute to developing both employees and procurement operations. Additional Information This is a permanent position based at one of the division's offices in Uppsala, Västerås, Gävle, Borlänge, or Örebro. Travel is part of the position and therefore a valid driver's license is required. The position is subject to background check in accordance with NCC's security culture.
