About the Unit The staff comprises a broad spectrum of competencies spanning different departments and areas of responsibility – ranging from operations management, preparedness and national response operations to infrastructure planning and follow-up, personnel and financial matters. The staff is led by the chief of staff. As an infrastructure officer in this position, you will be part of the staff's planning division where you report directly to the planning chief, but you will support the entire unit. Main Duties Work as an infrastructure officer at FömedC involves planning, leading and implementing infrastructure projects and matters within the area of infrastructure supply for your unit. You will also lead infrastructure planning for the unit's needs in both the short and long term. The duties also include responsibility for planning of facilities supply. You will serve as an advisor to unit leadership on infrastructure matters. In addition, you are responsible for follow-up, analysis, evaluation and development related to infrastructure, as well as leading project groups. The work involves cooperation with military and civilian actors within and outside the Swedish Armed Forces. At Gothenburg Garrison, garrison planning is led by the Älvsborg Amphibious Regiment (Amf 4). Cooperation takes place continuously with the Swedish Armed Forces' facilities planning unit (LplE) and the Fortifications Agency (FortV). The Swedish Armed Forces is growing and work duties may develop over time. Qualifications Officer/Specialist Officer Previous work experience in infrastructure Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Category B driving license (manual transmission) Meritorious Education in fortification service Familiarity with the Swedish Armed Forces' infrastructure processes and reporting systems for facilities and infrastructure projects Experience leading and driving projects Experience compiling and documenting, for example reports and development proposals Experience in staff service Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who can plan, lead and follow up on operations under varying conditions. You have the ability to analyze complex issues and see the bigger picture, and you work methodically to handle tasks of varying nature. You need to have good organizational skills and be thorough. The work requires good cooperation skills, strong social competence and the ability to build and maintain good relationships.
