We at Proplate are now looking for an industrial painter who wants to become part of our production team. With us, you will work with painting steel products and take responsibility for the entire process, from preparatory work to finished surface finish.
About the role
As an industrial painter at Proplate, you have an important role in our production. You work with painting steel products and are responsible for ensuring that the work is performed on time, with the right quality, and according to our processes and safety requirements.
The role encompasses the entire painting process, which means everything from preparations and color mixing to painting, inspections, and documentation. You are also responsible for handling materials properly and ensuring they move forward in the production flow. You work both independently and together with your colleagues to ensure an efficient flow and products that meet our customers' high quality standards.
Your daily tasks
In your day-to-day work, you will, among other things:
Prepare materials through cleaning, degreasing, masking, and rigging.
Mix paint and perform painting of steel products.
Conduct post-inspections and thickness measurements and document the results in measurement logs.
Document and report performed treatments according to applicable procedures.
Label finished goods and ensure that materials move forward in the production flow.
Report, label, and handle any quality deviations.
Clean painting equipment and perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance, such as replacement of wear parts.
Handle and move materials with traverses or forklifts when needed.
Contribute to order and cleanliness as well as a safe and efficient work environment.
Participate actively in our ongoing improvement efforts.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who has previous experience in industrial painting or equivalent painting work and who has a good understanding of what it takes to achieve an even and high quality.
You are thorough, quality-conscious, and have an eye for detail. You enjoy practical work and take responsibility for ensuring your work is done correctly. As a person, you are self-driven and solution-oriented while enjoying collaboration and contributing to the team.
You work in a structured manner, follow instructions and procedures, and see safety and quality as inherent parts of the work.
We see that you have:
Previous experience in industrial painting or similar work.
B-class driver's license.
Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
Ability to work both independently and with others.
Forklifter certification and traverse certification are merits.
