Job Responsibilities Do you have experience from the timber industry or sawmills and prefer working hands-on, taking responsibility, and seeing the results of your work? Are you also experienced with machinery and forklift operation and enjoy solving problems when they arise? Then this could be the job for you! In your role as a planing machine operator, you'll be an important part of daily production at our client in Sävsjö. You'll primarily work in the planing department and handle various parts of the production process, including sorting and handling of timber products, feeding material into the production line, as well as wrapping and packaging. You're also responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating the planing machine, and you'll monitor production to ensure high quality standards and efficient workflow. Fork truck operation is a natural part of the work, particularly with counterbalance forklifts, where you'll handle and move materials and finished products throughout the facility. It's therefore important that you have a valid forklift certificate and previous experience operating forklifts, particularly counterbalance models. The work is varied and you need an eye for detail, as well as being thorough and quality-conscious in your work. When problems or disruptions occur in production, you're expected to identify what needs to be addressed and find practical solutions so production can continue efficiently. You'll work closely with your colleagues in a small team and together contribute to smooth operations and high-quality products. The position is based on daytime hours, Monday–Friday. Your Profile We're looking for someone with previous experience from the timber industry, sawmills, planing operations, or similar work. Relevant education in the field is a plus, but your practical experience and willingness to learn are equally important. As a person, you're unpretentious, thorough, and take responsibility. You enjoy hands-on work and have a natural interest in machinery and production. You're solution-oriented and can stay calm when unexpected situations arise.
