About the Assignment
For our municipal client in Gothenburg, we are now seeking an engaged and solution-oriented Rent Collection Officer who wants to help ensure that rents are paid on time and that tenants receive the support they need. You will become part of a unified team where collaboration and responsibility are in focus.
The assignment should start immediately and run for at least 6 months, with the possibility of at least one year's extension. The position is part-time where you are expected to work 2 days per week and more during school holidays.
Your Responsibilities
The role involves varied work where you handle everything from payment reminders and payment plans to contact with collection agencies, authorities, and social services. You also work on eviction prevention and actively contribute to creating sustainable solutions for tenants.
You are responsible for phone duty between 8:00-11:00 and manage the inbox for the rent collection department's shared inbox and your own email.
Assess and manage payment plans, payment reminders, terminations, and evictions
Send reminders and warning letters for repeated late payments
Administer collection cases and debt management matters
Handle auto-giro registration and filing of financial documentation
Communicate with tenants, district staff, collection agencies, and authorities
Investigate and handle matters related to estates with debts
Your Qualifications
As a Rent Collection Officer, you have extensive contact with tenants, so good interpersonal skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations are important, in addition to understanding the entire rental and collection process.
Higher education or equivalent training in the relevant field
At least three (3) years of work experience from similar positions
Experience in the real estate industry and working with rents
Good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
