The Quality and Patient Safety operation is part of the Patient Safety, Development, and Research area in Health and Medical Care. The operation serves as expert and advisory in matters related to quality and patient safety with the aim of contributing to safe care. The operation encompasses several different functions including the pharmaceutical unit, chief physician, and infection prevention, where we are now seeking a new team member. The infection prevention task contributes to patient safety work by preventing healthcare-associated infections and limiting the spread of, for example, antibiotic-resistant bacteria and other infections within healthcare and elderly care. Within Infection Prevention, you will be part of a team consisting of infection prevention nurses and infection prevention physicians. We support hospitals, primary health centers, dental care, and municipalities. Infection Prevention works across the region, which involves travel within the region. We are now seeking an infection prevention nurse for Quality and Patient Safety in Sundsvall. The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as soon as possible, by agreement. There is an opportunity for reduced hours that can be combined with clinical duties. Work Tasks Your day-to-day work as an infection prevention nurse is varied and largely dependent on current events. Your work tasks include: inform, educate, and provide advisory on infection prevention matters to all staff categories within the region and municipalities develop infection prevention procedures to support work in healthcare participate in investigations related to healthcare-associated infections, contact tracing, and epidemiological surveillance of microorganisms of special infection prevention interest provide advisory on planning for renovations and new construction, procurement of medical technical products, and regarding disinfection methods participate in development and quality work with other colleagues within Quality and Patient Safety. You will receive an introduction tailored to your competence and previous experience. Competence development is ensured continuously and further studies are encouraged.
