About Nitro Consult Nitro Consult is a specialized consulting firm in infrastructure development with roots tracing back to Alfred Nobel and a long history of creating safe and sustainable solutions within rock engineering, blasting technology, acoustics, and environmental impact assessment. The company currently consists of approximately 60 consultants across Sweden, with the Stockholm office being the largest with around 40 employees. Here, specialized expertise and major infrastructure projects are combined with a family-like culture, short decision-making processes, and significant individual responsibility. Nitro is now expanding further within hydrogeology and is therefore seeking a key person who wants to help develop the team forward. About the Role As a hydrogeologist, you will work on varied and technically challenging projects linked to infrastructure development and construction. Projects range from subway expansions and large power cable projects to municipal framework agreements and other complex land and water-related assignments. You will play an important role in both project execution and the group's continued development. Since the team is being built up, there are significant opportunities to influence working methods, business development, and future direction. The role includes, among other things: Work independently on hydrogeological projects Prepare investigations, analyses, and technical reports Participate in client dialogues and bid preparation Support and share knowledge with junior colleagues Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities Here you will have a day-to-day role with great variety, close collaboration, and the opportunity to take on considerable responsibility. Who We Believe You Are You are a confident and independent hydrogeologist who thrives in a consultant role and enjoys combining technical expertise, client contact, and responsibility. You have likely worked several years in infrastructure development, construction, or groundwater-related projects and feel comfortable driving your work forward independently. To succeed in this role, we would like you to have: At least 5 years of experience in hydrogeology/hydrology Relevant university or civil engineering degree Experience from major infrastructure or construction projects Strong experience in technical report writing Experience with or interest in bid preparation and client dialogue Knowledge of ArcGIS and Diver Office Very good Swedish and English, spoken and written It is advantageous if you have experience from, for example, subway projects, mining-related projects, or work related to rock and groundwater.
