About the Role As an HSE engineer, you will have a central role in developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures. You will work to minimize risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and create a safety culture where employee health and safety are always in focus. Your main responsibilities: Develop and implement safety policies: Ensure that our procedures comply with applicable laws and industry standards. Risk assessments and inspections: Conduct regular risk assessments and inspections to identify and manage potential hazards. Training and awareness: Plan and conduct training programs in health and safety for employees. Incident reporting and investigations: Oversee the reporting, investigation, and analysis of accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences. Safety equipment: Monitor and ensure that protective equipment and emergency systems are in good condition and used correctly. Laws and regulations compliance: Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure that operations remain compliant. Crisis management and preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and lead efforts during crises. Qualifications: Relevant education in occupational health, safety, or risk management. Experience working in a similar role. Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and standards. Meritorious: Experience with risk assessments, safety investigations, and reporting tools. Experience with induction and training programs in occupational health and safety. Experience from construction and infrastructure projects. Personal Qualities: You are thorough and have a strong attention to detail. You have good communication skills and can educate and engage staff at all levels. You are self-motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment.
