Description Are you an experienced and skilled HR specialist with public sector experience looking for a new assignment? We would love to hear from you! The HR department's mission is to support managers within the administration on various HR matters, such as recruitment, labor law, work environment, and rehabilitation. We are also responsible for strategic assignments and processes within the HR field through various specialized areas of responsibility. Job Responsibilities The role of HR specialist is varied and independent. You will be a close support to one of our operational departments and participate regularly in the departments' management groups. The role includes being an active support in current HR matters as well as in union cooperation and negotiations. We work closely together and see the value in collaboration to achieve common goals. We have weekly meetings for collegial support and shared learning. Göteborgs Stad is a large organization where cooperation and a holistic perspective are important. As an HR specialist, you therefore have many contact points and collaborations also outside your own department, for example through HR forums and networks addressing common issues. There is particularly close cooperation between the city's four social welfare departments, which have similar core assignments. We offer good opportunities for skills development and training within our areas of responsibility. Qualifications We are looking for you with a bachelor's degree in personnel science or equivalent. You have several years of broad experience in qualified HR work close to operations. It is particularly meritorious if you have experience as an HR specialist in the public sector. You need to be someone who views change as a natural prerequisite for the work. You are someone who enjoys collaborating, sharing knowledge, and meeting managers, colleagues, and challenges with humility and curiosity. With a strong ability to build relationships, you create the conditions for good cooperation and effective collaboration. You enjoy variety in your work and feel equally comfortable handling operational matters here and now as contributing to strategic discussions. You also have good communication skills and can convey information clearly and understandably, adapted to your audience and situation.
