We are now seeking an HR Manager who wants to play a key role in developing the emergency service of the future. As one of Sweden's largest rescue service organizations, Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg works every day for a safer and more secure society by preventing accidents, conducting rescue operations, and strengthening society's ability to manage crises, disruptions, and heightened preparedness. About the role As HR Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and future-proofing the organization's HR and employer work. You lead an HR unit of approximately 12 employees within HR administration, HR partnership, and work environment, with full responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. A central part of the assignment is to create good conditions for employees, set clear direction, and ensure that the HR function offers professional and operationally-focused support to the organization's managers. You are a strategic partner to management and play a key role in translating the organization's goals and challenges into a long-term employer strategy. In the coming years, HR will be an important enabler in competency supply, leadership development, change management, and digitalization. An important part of the assignment is therefore to, together with operations, ensure that the organization can attract, develop, and retain the right competence for the future. You report directly to the Federation Director and are part of both the department's management team and the federation's management team. Here you contribute strategic perspectives, analyses, and initiatives that strengthen the organization's long-term development. The role also involves challenging established practices when needed and providing qualified support in strategic decisions. In the role, you are responsible for developing employer work within areas such as employment law, work environment, rehabilitation, gender equality, diversity, salary formation, and leadership and organizational development. You ensure professional and legally sound employer work and represent the employer in cooperation and negotiations with labor organizations. The role also involves leading and supporting change work within areas such as organizational development, culture, digitalization, and development of working methods. You are responsible for developing and managing HR processes and digital HR support and contribute through a strategic and operationally-focused approach to quality, efficiency, and the organization's long-term development. At the same time, you see the value of collaboration and have an easy time creating consensus even in complex matters. Qualifications Academic degree in HR, personnel and labor relations, behavioral science, law, economics, or other relevant higher education relevant to the assignment Multi-year experience in management and leadership with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility Documented experience in strategic HR work Good knowledge of employment law, collective agreements, cooperation, and labor negotiations Meritorious Experience from politically-governed operations and/or other mission-critical operations Experience from the public sector or good understanding of public sector management Experience from complex organizations with multiple professional groups, strong professions, and different interests Experience in strategic work within employer policy, salary formation, and organizational development Experience in leading cooperation and negotiation processes within the public sector We offer As HR Manager at Räddningstjänsten Storgöteborg, you get the opportunity to make a real impact.
