We are looking for a chief accountant who wants to be actively involved in accounting practice, has a solid understanding, relevant experience, and the drive to further develop and advance our processes. What your daily work will look like: This position is built on independent professional work, not just oversight: - independently record and verify accounting documents - take responsibility for the company's complete financial and accounting agenda - process monthly and annual accounting closures, tax returns, and annual reports - manage VAT and Intrastat activities - process bank statements and verify accounting reconciliations - collaborate on financial controlling - prepare audit documentation - regularly work with our tax advisor and auditor - actively participate in establishing and continuously improving accounting procedures Collaboration and teamwork This role involves professional and partnership-based collaboration: - mentor a junior accountant colleague toward independence - develop a long-term functional working relationship - work closely with the company's economist More about our accounting system: We currently work in the Ekosoft accounting system. During the year, we will transition to the ERP system Helios. We approach these changes methodically and systematically, with the goal of ensuring a functional and seamless transition to the new system. You will actively participate in setting up Helios and ensuring that new processes make sense and work well in practice. What matters to us: - economics education (secondary or higher education) - at least 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a chief accountant position - practical experience with taxes and audits - ability to independently record transactions and think systemically - careful and responsible approach to work - open and collaborative approach to teamwork What this job will bring you: - work on a professional agenda with clear structure and purpose - apply your experience and meaningfully influence how accounting functions in the company - actively participate in establishing and developing accounting processes and the Helios system - gradually transfer responsibility to a junior colleague and focus on more specialized work - work in a stable manufacturing company environment - collaborate based on expertise and partnership, not formality Salary and benefits: - salary 50,000–60,000 Kč consisting of a fixed component and a variable component - bonus paid before Christmas - support for further education (professional and general), including English lessons - offices in a new building Other employment details: - work primarily on-site - flexible start time - after one year, possibility to transition to an indefinite-term contract - shared office with colleagues, though each person has sufficient personal workspace How the selection process will work: Does this offer interest you?
