Hjortsjöskolan 7-9 is centrally located in Vaggeryd and has just over 350 students. Collaborative learning is an important part of school development to reach our goals so that each student develops both socially and academically. For increased upper secondary school readiness and improved attendance for our students, we have a special focus on subject-matter pedagogy collaboration (ÄDK), working through learning, leadership and stimulation, and based on a salutogenic approach. Job Responsibilities As a teacher, you plan, conduct, and refine instruction so that all students have the best conditions to develop as far as possible. Teaching should inspire learning and be motivating, which means you are skilled at creating good relationships with students and can conduct instruction where leadership and stimulation are the foundation, but where additional adaptations and special support are fully applied when needed. Through instruction, students should experience differentiated and refined teaching where a learning culture dominates. We expect you to be a strong leader in the classroom and work based on an accessible learning environment for all students. You document and follow up on each student and maintain continuous dialogue with both students and guardians. The role includes mentoring for the class, and you will be part of a subject team and grade-level work team and collaborate with colleagues throughout the teaching process. We work to ensure that all children feel responsibility, show respect and consideration for people and the environment. We should offer meaningful activities from when the student arrives in the morning until they go home. To succeed requires that each staff member, based on their cog-like position, meshes with the others so that the whole functions and our school's WE grows! Qualifications We are looking for someone who is curious, has strong competencies, and is interested in learning and school development. We expect you to approach challenges and educational questions in an open and innovative way and contribute your skills to the entire team. In the classroom, you are a clear pedagogical leader who creates trust, engagement, safety, and accessibility. You are expected to work from a subject-matter pedagogical approach; you will receive introduction and training in connection with your start. Collaborating and establishing good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external partners is a matter of course in your role. You are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching mathematics/science and are well-versed in all parts of the curriculum and other relevant governing documents. It is a merit if you have previous work experience in this role. We place great importance on your personal abilities.
