We are now seeking an assistive technology technician for a temporary position at the Logistics Unit, with a focus on warehouse and assembly of mobility aids. The Assistive Devices operation is a business area (VO) within the Psychiatry, Habilitation, and Assistive Devices division, responsible for all assistive device areas financed by Region Skåne. This includes assistive devices for people with mobility, vision, hearing, communication, and cognitive impairments, medical treatment aids, orthopedic-technical aids, and medication-related products. The Logistics Unit is part of the order/logistics area with the task of warehousing, reconditioning, and managing the distribution of assistive devices directly handled by the assistive devices operation. We also have overall responsibility for distribution and warehousing that has been outsourced to third parties. Here we work to create safe, efficient, and quality-assured processes that make a real difference for our customers. The area also includes customer service, operations support, product range and contracts, which means we work closely together and benefit from each other's expertise in our daily work. Together we work to ensure that every assistive device reaches the right recipient, at the right time, and with the right quality. At the Logistics Unit, we are approximately 25 engaged employees consisting of a unit manager, technicians, and case handlers. WORK TASKS You are responsible for ensuring that assistive devices maintain high quality and are ready to be used by our customers. The position includes warehouse work, goods reception, assembly of new products, functional testing and quality assurance, picking, packing, and distribution of assistive devices. Forklift driving occurs within the warehouse operation. Together with colleagues, you contribute to planning and prioritizing daily work and ensuring good work distribution. Documentation is an important part of the work and is done according to current procedures in the operations system; we use the business system Visma Sesam. You also actively contribute to developing our working methods, procedures, and processes by working according to 5S and Lean principles. With us you work as a team where we support each other and collaborate across technical areas. In this position, the work is primarily focused on warehouse and assembly of mobility aids. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with completed upper secondary education, preferably with a technical focus, or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, good computer skills, and a talent for learning new IT systems. Meritorious for the position is experience with warehouse work or work with technical equipment, as well as a forklift license A2 and B1. As a person, you are responsible, thorough, and quality-conscious. You have a technical interest, work in a solution-oriented manner, and enjoy working both independently and with others.
