Assistive Devices Västerbotten is a specialist function within the assistive devices and interpretation field. Our mission is to support customers in their work to meet the needs of assistive device users and provide interpretation services to interpretation users. We operate throughout the region and are represented in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele with just over 100 employees divided among three departments.
This position is part of the Prescriber Support and Administration department with placement in Skellefteå or Umeå. The main mission of Prescriber Support is to provide support to the professionals who prescribe assistive devices, through consultation, training, adaptations, and special customizations to meet individual solutions. Our customer service, which is the entry point and provides general advice to prescribers in the region and municipalities as well as directly to patients, is also part of Prescriber Support.
Operations are largely revenue-financed through agreements with municipalities and internal customers.

WORK TASKS
As an Assistive Devices Consultant with us, you contribute knowledge and commitment that make people feel secure. You have an important role in ensuring that residents of Västerbotten receive the assistive devices they need and are entitled to—to have the best possible conditions in their everyday lives. You provide consultation on assistive devices for both children and adults.
As an Assistive Devices Consultant, you work consultatively to provide advice on products and method support to prescribers throughout the region. You meet with prescribers both at Assistive Devices Västerbotten's facilities and in the homes of assistive device users or at other locations, or digitally. Work tasks include, among other things, fitting support, advice, procurement and assortment work, and training initiatives. Assignments often take place in teams with other colleagues. The role also includes actively participating in development and improvement work within the organization.
In this position, you will work primarily within assortment areas within the mobility field, working with both children and adults. The position can be partially designed based on the applicant's qualifications. In your role, you work in close collaboration with all departments within Assistive Devices Västerbotten.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must be a licensed occupational therapist. The position requires broad experience in prescribing assistive devices within several different assortment areas. Experience leading groups and conducting training is a merit.
Because there is continuous development of digital technology within our various assortment areas, it is a merit if you are technically interested.
You are a team-focused and positive person who enjoys driving development initiatives. You need to be customer-focused and have good interpersonal skills.
Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Class B driver's license is required.
