Drottning Blankas Gymnasieskola Malmö is now seeking an engaged Mentor. We have worked with full-time mentors since 2016 and have a clear structure for the role. The position involves responsibility for a large number of upper secondary students. You will work with parent contact, conduct development conversations, participate in student welfare matters concerning your students, lead mentor lessons, and share responsibility with all school staff for the student's school situation and learning. The position also includes substituting for teachers during absences. Your Background We are looking for someone with relevant education (preferably with a pedagogical foundation) and who is passionate about supporting students in their schooling – socially but especially in their learning. As a mentor, you are attentive, communicative, and have the ability to create a positive and supportive environment around the student. You value good relationships and collaboration with teachers, student welfare services, and guardians. We place great importance on personal suitability. We also believe that you: - Are good at motivating and supporting positive learning for the student. - Are a stable and trustworthy person, with the ability to work independently and together with others to achieve high results. - Have experience working with young people in upper secondary education. Knowledge of upper secondary school regulations and student welfare work is very important. You need to have good digital skills.
