As Head of Quality Operations, you will have overall responsibility for operational quality work at Johan i Hallen & Bergfalk's Swedish facilities. You will lead an experienced team and have the opportunity to develop common working methods and create structure in an organization undergoing change. You report to the Quality & Sustainability Director; the role is based in Partille, Göteborg.
About the Role
As Head of Quality Operations, you will lead, coordinate, and develop operational quality work at JHB's facilities in Sweden. Together with your team, you ensure that operations comply with legislation, quality requirements, and high food safety standards.
Your responsibilities include quality, traceability, temperature, food safety, HACCP, quality controls, deviations, and corrective actions. You also drive and coordinate work ahead of audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections.
An important part of the assignment is to develop more uniform quality operations across facilities. You drive improvements in processes, working methods, and systems and ensure they work in practice—close to production, warehouse, and logistics.
Operations are characterized by high tempo and quick decisions. You need to be able to prioritize, set direction, and handle issues as they arise, without losing sight of the long-term perspective.
The role involves regular travel between JHB's facilities. You will primarily move between Partille and Fiskhamnen in Göteborg and travel to Helsingborg and Stockholm a couple of times per month.
About You
You have worked close to production and understand how regulations and quality requirements are implemented in daily operations. Experience from meat, fish, protein production, or other fresh goods is a merit. The role requires good knowledge of HACCP, GMP, FSSC 22000, and applicable food legislation, as well as experience with quality controls, audits, and regulatory contacts. We believe you have experience driving improvement work and developing processes and working methods within quality.
Leadership is an important part of the role, and you are confident in creating structure, setting direction, and developing people. With clear leadership, you help others thrive, grow, and take responsibility. We are looking for someone with academic training in food science or equivalent experience and several years of experience in quality work within the food industry. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
