About the Company You will join a Swedish publicly listed medical device company based in Lund that develops and sells medical systems for healthcare. It's a smaller organization with short decision-making paths, close collaboration between different functions, and high personal responsibility. Responsibilities As Head of Operations, you have overall responsibility for ensuring daily delivery while driving the operational transformation needed for continued growth. The role encompasses the entire chain from forecasting and order planning to procurement, supplier management, production setup, delivery, and follow-up. You combine operational responsibility with a strong focus on improvement and build the structures, processes, and collaborations needed for a scalable operation. A central part of the role is developing and managing collaboration with external production partners and suppliers. You ensure the right capacity, quality, and commercial terms through active monitoring and development of the supplier base. This involves driving improvement efforts with international contract manufacturers, developing existing partnerships, and identifying opportunities for consolidation or supplier changes when the current setup is not sustainable long-term. The role requires you to be present with production partners, build strong relationships, and drive improvement initiatives on-site. You are also responsible for developing the company's planning and system support by establishing structure around forecasting, S&OP, and order planning, as well as further developing the use of the ERP system Monitor for increased data quality, transparency, and planning precision. The operation works according to ISO 13485, which means high requirements for documentation, traceability, and compliance. With many internal and external contact points, you have a key role in ensuring both daily delivery capability and the company's long-term scalability. The position involves some travel outside Sweden. Own and drive the transformation of the company's operations and supply chain structure to support growth. Ensure the entire flow from forecasting, orders, procurement, and planning to delivery and distribution. Drive improvement initiatives with suppliers and production partners and identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency gains. Responsible for supplier management, negotiations, agreements, and cost reduction initiatives. Drive improvements in ERP, data quality, forecasting, S&OP, and operational follow-up. Ensure quality, delivery precision, and reduced operational vulnerability as expansion accelerates. Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities Requirements Several years of experience in a role within operations, supply chain, or manufacturing. Experience with production management, capacity planning, and delivery assurance in own production and/or with external production partners (contract manufacturers). Experience with supplier development, S&OP, forecasting, or similar planning processes. Experience with supplier negotiations and commercial agreements. Experience with ERP systems. Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Meritorious Experience from medtech, pharma, or other regulated operations. Experience from smaller or growing companies where the role combined strategy and operational execution. Experience setting up or improving flows in ERP.
