The Labor Market Administration works to promote the municipality's growth by creating conditions for residents to have lifelong learning and be self-sufficient. We do this with a focus on competency supply and through coordinated operational services to businesses where we work to address complex societal challenges with innovative approaches. The administration consists of three departments: Labor Market, Quality and Coordination, and Campus Trelleborg, and has approximately 100 dedicated employees. As a mentor, you act as support and work leader for work-based services at the municipality's various departments - in this case technical services in Trelleborg municipality. Our applicants who receive maintenance allowance will participate in work training/internship while undergoing parallel initiatives to approach the labor market, and the goal is to transition from benefits to employment. Duties As a mentor in the technical services operation, you have a central role in supporting, guiding, and leading participants in their work training/internship placement. Your main duties as a work leader include mentoring individually and in groups, distributing work tasks, and working with theoretical and practical competency-building initiatives for participants within parks and nature and/or waste management and recycling. You will be out in the field daily at various workplaces in the municipality. You will also collaborate with other actors in the municipality as you work together with the individual and their development. You will work closely with each individual and your contribution will be decisive for participants' success while also being part of an engaged team at the Labor Market Administration where collaboration, open dialogue, and support from various professionals, such as labor market secretaries and recruiters, are key to success. The position is placed within the Labor Market Administration in Trelleborg municipality, which is responsible for financial assistance and labor market initiatives. The assignment also includes labor market initiatives in Svedala municipality through a cooperation agreement between the municipalities. Work will therefore be conducted in both Trelleborg and Svedala, which means that travel between the municipalities is part of the position. The mentor's responsibility is both mentoring and work leadership in daily operations, where the focus is on supporting, guiding, and distributing work tasks related to participants' work training. The work leadership assignment is operational and limited to the practical work in the participants' work training activities. Formal personnel responsibility and overall work leadership for regular employees remains with the responsible manager in the operation. Qualifications To be a candidate for the mentor position in technical services, we are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education or other relevant education that the employer deems useful. You have experience with tasks within green space maintenance, park work, gardening, plant nurseries, waste management, recycling, or similar. You have also previously worked with mentoring and/or leading others. Furthermore, you have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You also have basic IT experience and experience with documentation. A manual transmission driver's license (Class B) is a requirement for the position. It is meritorious if you have experience working with people in need of extra support, for example those with mental health issues or functional variation, as well as experience working with people outside the labor market. We also see that you have genuine commitment to supporting individuals toward education or employment, and a good ability to motivate and inspire others.
