The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly and disability care, home health services, and food services. The Health and Care Administration has over 1,000 employees. The largest group consists of care personnel such as nursing assistants, personal assistants, nurses, and cooks. The Workplace Day services according to LSS is aimed at people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, as well as people with acquired brain injuries in adulthood. In day services, you work to guide and support our participants. We focus on the participant's needs and adapt the content to be stimulating and meaningful for the participant. You serve as a helping hand and contribute to providing them with a functioning, safe, and meaningful everyday life. Together with your colleagues, you plan and ensure, through implementation plans, that the support is adapted to the participant's needs and wishes. To succeed, you have the opportunity for continuous professional development and structured introduction. We work according to a clarifying pedagogy that is based on making the world as clear and predictable as possible. Care tasks occur based on the participant's support needs. Work Tasks The role of supervisor involves providing support and guidance to people in user groups 1 and 2 according to LSS within day services. The work is based on LSS intentions regarding participation, self-determination, integrity, and continuity, with the goal of strengthening each participant's conditions to live as independently and meaningfully as possible. As a supervisor, you plan and implement, together with the participants, interventions in daily work based on individual goals and needs. You work in a structured, goal-oriented, and solution-focused manner and adapt your support based on each participant's conditions. The assignment includes being part of a work team with special responsibility for providing support to participants with challenging behaviors. The role also involves documenting implemented interventions according to applicable guidelines and being a contact person for participants. Communication and documentation are central work tools in the operation. Work at other workplaces within the administration may occur. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: A degree from a care program or other pedagogical education that the employer deems equivalent Experience meeting and managing people with challenging behaviors Experience working with people within LSS with various functional variations and comorbidity Good ability to work from a person-centered approach and with respect for the individual's self-determination Ability to create safety, structure, and individually adapted support Very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing Driver's license category B It is an asset if you have: Training or knowledge in clarifying pedagogy, low-arousal interaction, and AAC Knowledge and interest in practicing singing, drama, and music in the work Knowledge of documenting according to applicable legislation and procedures Personal Qualities We are looking for someone with good empathetic ability and professional, respectful, and clear interaction. You find it easy to understand other people's situations and adapt your communication based on the individual's needs and conditions. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working both independently and together with colleagues. You have pedagogical insight and can convey information and provide support in a way that creates understanding and participation. You are organized, plan and organize your work efficiently, and work goal-oriented with the participant's best interests in focus.
