JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Benefit administration regarding care of persons with disabilities, LSS and social psychiatry, is part of Mörbylånga Municipality's Individual and Family Care, IFO, which houses all of the municipality's social workers, benefit administrators, Individual and Family Support, and Employment Center. The workplace is located in central Färjestaden with good communication options to Kalmar and other parts of Öland. The closest work group consists of three benefit administrators with many years of experience and knowledge in the field of social services, as well as close management from the unit manager. One person in the team is now leaving. Therefore, we are looking for perhaps you—someone who is committed to performing case management and documentation of high quality and legal certainty, and who wants to contribute to the continued development of our operations. The position of benefit administrator within LSS involves case management of matters according to SoL and LSS where every child and adult who, due to a physical or mental disability, faces significant difficulties in their daily life is given the opportunity to participate in the community and live like others. Case management work follows the flow from when a matter becomes current until it is closed. This includes preliminary assessment, investigation, decision, and follow-up of approved services with consideration given to a child rights perspective. The work involves close cooperation with other activities within the municipality's social services, the Region, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Employment Service. The work is governed by current legislation, regulations, and local guidelines. We work based on IBIC in the Lifecare management system. In your role, you will have the opportunity for close management from the unit manager, external supervision, knowledge exchange with experienced colleagues, and introduction and customized competence development based on the role and individual needs. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker or has other education that is assessed as equivalent. You must have personal suitability for the role, which means you must have a good ability to inspire confidence, to motivate people toward change, to meet people in difficult and vulnerable situations, to make decisions, and to handle legal issues. You should be able to express yourself clearly in speech and writing in a way that the applicant understands. You should be receptive, and in stressful situations, it is important that you have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor and approach. It is an advantage if you are organized and enjoy seeking information to find answers to various questions.
