You will be part of a team with knowledgeable and dedicated colleagues who collaborate to create a safe and developmental environment. There is great openness among teachers, and we share collective responsibility for ensuring all students succeed. Our schools work with learning and development within shared focus areas. These areas fall under three main categories: pedagogy, health, and civic engagement. We develop what, according to science and proven experience, has a positive impact on the learning environment, on work for students' health, and to ensure our students can go out into the world with strong civic engagement. Our schools have a strong foundation in values-based questions for social improvement and equal worth for all. Therefore, it is important to us that you share our values. The role includes tasks linked to the teaching profession such as instruction, planning, and assessment. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a certified high school teacher and qualified in one or more of the subjects mentioned in this posting. We appreciate your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, as well as your capacity to build positive relationships. If you have knowledge of our teaching approach, that is a merit. Experience from similar assignments and good references are also merits. You are curious and actively work to help each student develop as far as possible based on their circumstances. It is important to us that you are motivated by challenging yourself, your colleagues, and students to contribute to your own development as well as the school's and students' development. With seven high schools in Mälardalen and approximately 3,000 students, we equip young people with knowledge, security, care, and courage – for the future and for society. Being ideologically driven means above all that we are not guided by any interests other than our vision – a school for a more humane society. The schools are independent schools operated as foundations, which means there is no owner extracting profit. Any surplus goes to developing the activity. The foundation's founder, Stockholm City Mission, has operated education since 1857, and we share the same fundamental, humane view of humanity and values. Through education, we can prevent exclusion and strengthen individuals' belief in themselves and their own abilities, and work toward our vision of a school for a more humane society.
