Furulundsgymnasiet is centrally located in Sölvesborg and has over 600 students attending both vocational preparation programs and college preparation programs, adapted upper secondary school, and an introduction program. Furulundsgymnasiet is characterized by community and warmth and close collaboration between colleagues and professions, always with the student's best interests in focus. 1 position(s). DUTIES The position includes mentoring and teaching according to the school's curriculum. As a mentor, you will be responsible for a mentor class, conduct development conversations, and follow up on absences while continuously maintaining a dialogue with students about their academic situation. There will also be situations where you need to share information and collaborate with guardians, for example by providing information about how studies work. You are driven and enjoy collaborating with colleagues and other staff, and you see the program team/collegium as a natural and important part of developing work with the student in focus. Furthermore, you assess, analyze, and document individual student needs and results and are responsible for ensuring that the student is involved in their own development and progress. You take an active role in the student's development and collaborate in various forums with colleagues, guardians, student support teams, school leadership, and any external parties. You also actively participate in the school's preventative work that may be initiated by, for example, the student support team. As a teacher, you create a safe and development-oriented learning environment that provides good conditions for learning and development. You give great consideration to each student's individual circumstances and needs so that they can achieve their individual goals based on their own circumstances. You build trusting relationships with students and other partners characterized by positive expectations. The position also includes participating in the school's marketing efforts by actively participating in, for example, trade fairs and open houses. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a certified upper secondary school teacher in the subject of science (naturkunskap). You are driven and enjoy taking responsibility while having good collaboration skills and seeing the value in working together. We would also like you to have experience working at upper secondary school and have an interest in working with young people, especially mentoring. We are looking for someone who meets students based on their individual circumstances and needs. It is also very important that you can adapt your teaching to your target group and find individual solutions that help students reach their goals.
