The Assignment We are looking for someone who can teach science at the upper secondary level. You will be part of a program where you also serve as a mentor for a group of students. At Rodengymnasiet, we want you as a teacher to create varied instruction in the classroom, and you should be able to lead instruction in a way that creates engagement and student activity. Each student should be met based on their prerequisites and needs. You need to be clear in your leadership while giving students the opportunity to influence the structure and content of instruction. You work actively with feedback and help students progress in their work and knowledge development. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues both in your subject and with colleagues who teach in the program. Challenges and Opportunities The position places great demands on you as an educator to teach in a varied and methodical way, to have motivating conversations with students, and to give all students the best conditions to succeed. You collaborate with student support services and study and career guidance around the student. What You Need to Bring You are a certified upper secondary school teacher in science and mathematics You are flexible, open, and have good collaboration skills in your interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. You have strong leadership qualities in the classroom and have the ability to plan instruction that systematically guides students toward learning goals. Here there are 12 upper secondary programs, both college-preparatory and vocational programs, with approximately 1,200 students and 130 employees. Employment Type, Scope, and Start Date Employment Type: Permanent Scope: Full-time Start Date: November 16 or by agreement For this role, the entry salary is normally between 43000-46000 kr depending on experience and qualifications.
