Västsvenska gymnasiet is a smaller school with approximately 290 students. A large portion of our students begin with us in an introductory program and complete their qualifications in parallel with the goal of achieving a high school diploma. Because our student group faces varying challenges and has significant need for support, we place special emphasis on creating safety, a conducive study environment, and good relationships. Job Description We are now seeking an engaged teacher who can teach English and history. The position is a temporary role for a regular teacher who is on parental leave during this period. Subjects: English Level 1 English, Lower Secondary English 7 (gy11) History Level 1a1 You plan and deliver instruction according to current curriculum guidelines. Your focus is to create a varied, relevant, and inspiring learning environment that meets students where they are. You will be part of a team that focuses on the Care and Health Program and serve as a mentor. Qualifications Licensed high school teacher. Strong pedagogical skills and an inclusive approach. A natural ability to engage and motivate students who need extra support. Meritorious Experience teaching at high school level or in introductory programs. Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. Good digital competence and experience using digital tools as pedagogical support. Start Date: November 23, 2026 Work Location: On-site.
