Midgårdsskolan is an upper secondary school offering three college preparatory programs, an introductory program, and adapted upper secondary education. Approximately 800 students attend, and providing them the opportunity to achieve strong results in a safe and creative environment guides all who work at the school. Position Details
This is a full-time substitute position starting 2026-10-26 through 2027-06-23.
Your Responsibilities
You will teach within the Aesthetic program's Art and Design specialization, in both the national program and the introductory program.
You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction with a focus on developing students' practical and creative abilities in art and design.
About You
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated teacher who wants to help continue developing the Art and Design specialization. You stay current with industry developments, maintain a broad professional network, and are passionate about inspiring and fostering student learning.
You have strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills that enable you to meet students with varying needs and backgrounds. With your holistic view of learning, you see the value of close collaboration with colleagues to create the best conditions for student development. We are looking for someone who is solution-focused, responsive, engaged, and takes initiative with students always at the center. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Requirements
Certified upper secondary teacher with certification in Art levels 1-3, Aesthetic Communication, and Art and Form
Experience teaching at the upper secondary level
Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Valid criminal record clearance certificate
Merits
Certification in Media Production, Digital Creation, or Architecture and Design
Knowledge within form, media, design, or architecture
Teaching experience at the lower secondary level
