For 25 years, Gryning has offered residential care and open services for children, youth and families, emergency and family care, addiction treatment, supported housing, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as group housing. We offer counseling and training and help with placements. Gryning is owned by municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal associations.
Bergiusgården in Ljungskile receives boys and girls ages 16–21 with substance abuse issues related to alcohol and drugs, but may also involve combinations with criminality and/or mental health issues. We offer 24-hour care and qualified treatment. Youth are placed according to SOL or LVU. Our primary task is to work together with the young person and their network to enable change work in a safe and stable environment, and we strive to contribute to changed, improved and lasting living conditions for the young person.

JOB DUTIES
Depending on your educational background and previous experience, different roles may be relevant with us. Common to all of them is that in your work you serve as a support for our youth in their daily routines, you create security and stability, and you work closely with your colleagues. Our operations run around the clock, which means you will work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.
Regardless of role, you contribute to creating security, calm and safety for the youth.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with at least two years of post-secondary education, or equivalent training, with a focus on social work, social pedagogy or behavioral science. If you have experience working in residential care homes or other knowledge through work with youth, that is a merit. We expect you to be interested in young people. We are looking for someone who is confident and stable and who has the ability to create calm and security. You are responsible, have personal maturity and good self-awareness. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Since the work may involve travel, a class B driver's license is required.
