For 25 years, Gryning has offered residential and community-based care for children, youth and families, on-call and family homes, addiction treatment, supported apartments, initiatives against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as housing for individuals with functional disabilities (LSS). We provide counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal federations.
Bergiusgården in Ljungskile receives boys and girls ages 16–21 with substance abuse issues related to alcohol and drugs, but may also involve a combination with criminality and/or mental health issues. We offer 24-hour care and qualified treatment. Youth are placed according to the Social Services Act (SOL) or the Youth Custody Act (LVU). Our main task is to work together with the young person and their network to enable a change process in a safe and stable environment, and we aim to contribute to changed, improved and lasting living conditions for the young person.
We are now seeking a treatment pedagogue for awake nights & on-call, permanent employment at 55.34% with start as soon as possible.
We have operations around the clock, which means you will work on a schedule with irregular working hours including evenings and weekends. A probationary period may apply.

JOB DUTIES
What does the position entail?
As a treatment pedagogue on awake nights/on-call at Bergiusgården, you work both awake nights and sleeping on-call according to schedule. During awake nights, you are active throughout the shift and are responsible for what happens, for example providing support to the youth, managing incidents, or accompanying them to medical appointments. While on sleeping on-call, you are on standby and can be called to assist the awake night staff as needed. Regardless of your role, you contribute to creating safety, calm and security for the youth. Practical tasks around the house, such as cleaning, as well as documentation in our activity management system are natural parts of the work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education, or an education equivalent to this, with a focus on social work, social pedagogy or behavioral science. If you have experience working at residential care homes or other experience working with youth, that is an asset. We expect you to be interested in young people. We are looking for someone who is confident and stable and has the ability to create calm and security. You are responsible, have personal maturity and good self-awareness. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Since the work may involve travel, a driver's license category B is a requirement.
