Welcome to Activity Center! We offer support in internships, studies, and employment according to IPS, work activities, and social settings for individuals with mental health challenges and/or harmful substance use and addiction. One of our group leaders is moving on in their career, and we are now seeking their replacement. In our mission, we start from the participant's needs with a focus on influence, good treatment, and the individual's own strengths. We currently have 20 employees at the facility in locations across three different places in Södertälje. We are in an exciting phase where we must adapt to the Activity Requirement while meeting individuals who have extra vulnerability. Your Tasks As a group leader at Activity Center, you will lead a team of employees with various competencies. The majority of our services take place in groups, such as in a work activity or in different activity groups, but we also provide individual support. As a group leader, you are responsible for ensuring that today's activities are staffed. Sometimes you will work together with employees in the different groups to have good insight into their conditions and the participants' needs, and sometimes you may need to cover for absences. A large part of your role as group leader is to support employees in social documentation to ensure that routines are followed and that documentation is of good quality where the participant's own perspective is clear. You are part of a management team at the facility together with your group leader colleague and unit manager. Beyond the daily work with employees, you are also a good ambassador for Activity Center in collaboration with others, both internally within the municipality and with external collaboration partners in the region, civil society, and the job market. When needed, you may also be responsible for planning and follow-up of a small number of participants. Who Are You? As someone seeking the group leader role with us, you represent leadership that promotes participation and influence. You lift the strengths of each employee but also identify development needs and can be clear about boundaries and what routines apply to create clarity and continuity in daily work. You enjoy being on-site as the role offers few opportunities for remote work given that employees mostly work on-site. Requirements: - Experience in leadership. - Experience working with mental health challenges and/or harmful substance use and addiction. - Higher education in social work or other education/experience that can be considered equivalent. - Experience working in a goal-oriented organization. Meritorious: - Training in MI, ESL, and Intimate Partner Violence. - Training in IBIC. - Experience working with IPS-focused services or work rehabilitation. Personal Qualities: - As a leader, you are attentive and clear. - You have good organization of your work and can support others in creating structure. - You enjoy a role where you are on-site in the activity and participate in daily work. - You see the importance of collaboration. - You can see solutions and opportunities and engage employees in development work to create participation in the work group. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. What We Offer You We offer you stimulating and enjoyable work in an engaged and development-oriented group of employees who have participants in focus. We are at the forefront of participation work and have implemented methods such as peer support, participant forums, and study circles in empowerment. With us you receive regular supervision together with your work group. You participate in management meetings in the area and are offered skills development training in the group leader role. As an employee of Södertälje Municipality, you are offered secure employment, good employment terms and work environment, skills development, and several benefits. Please read more about us on our website and for more information about our benefits: https://www.sodertalje.se/kommun-och-politik/jobba-hos-oss/formaner/ Welcome to Us! Other Information Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period. Södertälje Municipality works with competency-based recruitment methodology to prevent discrimination and promote diversity in the workplace. We have many positions where we conduct background checks. A register excerpt (criminal and suspicion register) from the Police Authority may therefore need to be provided by the candidate before an employment decision is made. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security vetting with background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before an employment decision is made. For some of our work tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
