Individual and Family Services (IFO) in Smedjebacken has undergone a reorganization and is now seeking two group leaders for the organization. This announcement concerns the group leader position for the adult services group. The organization consists of a total of 20 employees distributed across three groups: an administration group, a children and family group, and an adult services group. The entire operation is led by a service manager. The adult services group handles cases related to economic assistance, harmful substance use and addiction, intimate partner violence, social rental agreements, estate matters, activities requirement support, fieldwork, and other adult matters. Both authority-exercising personnel and treatment-oriented open care staff are part of the group. The group consists of 8 positions: three social workers for economic assistance, one field assistant, two treatment specialists, one social worker for activities requirement, and one social worker for harmful substance use and addiction. We are a small organization where we help and support each other with the focus of providing the best possible services to the citizens of Smedjebacken municipality! With us, you will have the opportunity to develop the organization together with a management team and motivated colleagues based on the new Social Services Act. Responsibilities As a group leader, you lead, inspire, and mentor staff in your group. You distribute cases and conduct regular case reviews with both authority-exercising personnel and treatment staff. You contribute to and ensure that the group performs its work tasks in a legally secure manner and with good quality. In your role, you function as accessible support where you manage work, coach, and provide methodological guidance in daily operations. The role is operational while also requiring strategic work together with the service manager and your fellow group leader colleague. Your duties include collaborating with other actors, both internally and externally. You will also represent the Family and Education Committee in Administrative Court, District Court, and Court of Appeal. You will also present cases to the Family and Education Committee's individual board. You are part of the management group that meets once a week to plan operations, coordinate work, and drive development initiatives together. You are an important part of systematic quality work and contribute to developing your group's work as well as the entire organization's work. You contribute to developing work methods and approaches based on the organization's needs, goals, and applicable legislation. Qualifications You have a degree in social work or another behavioral science education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have good knowledge of the Social Services Act and its various areas. You have a B driver's license. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is meritorious if you have experience in social services and leadership in some form. Personal Qualities You are secure and engaged with the ability to create participation and engagement in the work group. You support colleagues in their development while creating conditions for them to succeed in their assignments. You need to be organized and thorough and have the ability to juggle many tasks even when the pace is sometimes high. You take your own initiatives, drive development work forward, and work independently within your area of responsibility. You need to be able to collaborate both externally and internally.
