Local Police Area Nyköping is part of Police Area Södermanland. Within the local police area, there are response and crime prevention activities, investigation units, as well as support and service operations. The group works at the reception desk, whose main task is passport processing and service to the public. 1 position(s). DUTIES As manager of the Police Service Office, you report to the Local Police Area Manager and are part of the local police area's management group, where you collectively are responsible for task execution and driving the agency's change and development work. You have special responsibility for the Service Office's operations and its results. As group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen public confidence in police operations. Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating security and building trust through exercising honest, courageous, and attentive leadership with confidence in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on following the law and treating people equally. You create conditions and work toward good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the mission as a whole. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you who have: • An academic degree or equivalent knowledge acquired in a way that the employer considers equivalent. • At least 6 months of continuous experience working as a manager. • Experience leading others toward established goals and results. We consider it advantageous if you also have: • Experience collaborating with societal actors outside the police organization. • Experience in the current field of activity, for example experience in public operations involving support/service, reception, or other experience that the employer considers relevant. • Participation in management forums. • Experience participating in change and development initiatives. • Management and leadership training at direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels.
