Job Responsibilities As a group manager for family foster care, you are responsible for leading and distributing work within the group and ensuring that daily work is performed with good quality and in accordance with applicable legislation. The work also includes participating in the development of working methods and routines. You guide and support your employees both individually and in groups. Through close leadership, you promote good conditions for development, learning and work satisfaction. You assist the unit manager in systematically planning, following up and evaluating the activities, and contribute with suggestions for development and improvement measures. The position includes some personnel responsibility such as recruitment, employee and salary conversations, and in consultation with the unit manager, handle individual personnel matters. You have a holistic perspective on the target group's needs and cooperate both internally and externally. About the Workplace The Social Services Division's main mission is to offer individually adapted support and services within elderly care, disability services, children and families, adults and financial assistance. We are present for the municipality's residents through all stages of life. The Children and Youth Unit consists of the Investigation Group and the Family Foster Care Group. The unit is led by a unit manager and three group managers. The unit also has a methodology advisor who works with both groups. The Family Foster Care Group consists of four family foster care secretaries and six child secretaries and is led by a group manager. The group recruits, investigates and supervises foster families, follows up on the situations of placed children, cooperates with guardians, schools and other authorities regarding the child. The group consists of both employees with long experience and employees who are new to the role of family foster care secretary or child secretary. We believe this creates good dynamics in the group where you learn from each other and are helpful. Travel is part of the work. Cooperation between the investigation group and family foster care works well, as does cooperation with the municipality's open care services. What We Are Looking For in You To succeed in the role, you have: A degree in social work Several years of experience as a manager or group leader in children and youth within public administration Experience implementing new working methods, routines and approaches in a management role Good knowledge of applicable legislation; the Social Services Act, LVU and the Parental Code Good knowledge of cooperating authorities' operations Good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish It is meritorious if you have: Leadership training Experience working with placed children and specifically family foster care Experience with team-based working methods Knowledge of Signs of Safety, SAVRY, iRisk EARL, RBM or MI Good knowledge of personnel and work environment matters Personal Qualities We Are Looking For As a person, you are clear and confident and you create participation and engagement to bring employees along toward common goals.
