We are now seeking a group manager for the Special Operations group. The group is responsible for the operations of our server halls and the authority's special IT environments, ensuring they meet operational requirements regarding functionality, availability, quality, and security. As a group manager, you will lead approximately 15 IT technicians, IT specialists, technical architects, and consultants. Within your area of responsibility, you have overall responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. The group works in a complex and challenging IT environment where work is both needs-driven and operations-focused. The group is under development and you will become an important part of this journey forward. Job Description Our IT environment is extensive and varied, spanning from modern infrastructure to systems we develop in-house. The group is in an exciting phase of change where new services are being established and the IT department's organization and mission will grow in the coming years. As a leader, you will have excellent opportunities to continue developing the IT department's operations. As group manager for Special Operations, you will be part of the section's management group. You are a role model who engages and leverages your employees' initiatives. You are responsible for the group's work on continuous improvement and change initiatives, and you actively contribute to creating an attractive workplace with a good working environment. Together with your management colleagues, you work in the section's management group to plan and follow up on the operations' development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with strong planning skills. You can identify and analyze needs, assess the impact of implementations and changes in assignments, and place these in a larger context. You are calm and professional even in demanding situations and have the ability to work persistently despite changing work requirements until results are achieved. You have personal maturity, are unpretentious, and flexible in your approach. Furthermore, you are communicative and build relationships and engagement in collaborations. We are looking for someone with: Academic education or a higher education degree, or other education combined with experience that Kriminalvården deems relevant Experience in leadership roles within IT, for example as group manager/team leader/project manager Well-documented experience in work and personnel management Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish Knowledge of IT security It is also advantageous to have: Documented leadership training Relevant experience from other public sector operations Experience with physical infrastructure Experience leading in an organization undergoing change Management experience within IT Experience working with IT infrastructure Experience working in complex IT environments Experience with ITIL Experience establishing and operating data centers Relevant language skills Other Information Kriminalvården has decided to eliminate the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
