Company Description Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 700 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that trains personnel in Swedish nuclear power, delivers nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments, and provides internal technical specialist services for all Vattenfall operations, corporate staff, and stakeholders. This includes activities such as developing and providing training, project management and project support, analysis management and investigations, product development, nuclear technical safety and dam safety assignments. The focus within the business unit Vattenfall Power Solutions is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We actively work with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and expertise create great value for Vattenfall and its investments. We are now seeking a manager for the Licensing East group who wants to be part of developing both people and operations during a time when the energy sector is undergoing major changes. Within Business Area Generation and the business unit Vattenfall Power Solutions, we contribute technical specialist expertise, projects, and development initiatives that strengthen Vattenfall's operations. We function as a coordinated platform for knowledge transfer, efficient working methods, and consolidated needs management within the business. Our employees work closely with nuclear power, but also within hydropower, wind power, heating, hydrogen development, and electrical grids. Through our projects and assignments, we create the conditions for the transition to a fossil-free society. As group manager for Licensing East, you will have a central role in creating the conditions for safe and stable energy supply, while contributing to the development of the energy systems of the future. Your Responsibilities As group manager, you are responsible for the group's operations, deliverables, and development. You lead a team of approximately nine specialists located in Solna, Nyköping, Uppsala, and Oskarshamn, which means you conduct management remotely and create engagement across multiple locations. You work closely with operations within Forsmark, Nuclear Back-end Solutions, the new nuclear power division, and various functions within Business Area Generation. In this role, you will: Be responsible for the group's results, deliverables, and priorities. Set goals, monitor operations, and drive development and improvement initiatives. Lead, coach, and create conditions for engagement, collaboration, and competency development within the group. Be responsible for competency assurance and development of employees based on operational needs, both short-term and long-term. Support and contribute to the organization's change and development initiatives. Hold responsibility for work environment, budget, and salary management. Contribute actively to the management group for Safety East. As group manager, you are part of the management group for Safety East and report to the unit manager. Requirements We are looking for someone who has: A university degree or a civil engineering degree, or equivalent experience. Experience leading people, teams, or operations. Very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. B-class driver's license It is a merit if you have: Previous experience as a manager. Experience with or understanding of licensing issues in regulated operations. Experience from the nuclear power industry. We place great importance on your personal qualities.
