Carlslundsskolan is a new upper secondary school that opened in the fall term of 2024 in the Carlslund area. The municipality's adapted primary school, grades 7–9, is an integrated part of the school. Carlslundsskolan is one of Umeå municipality's practice schools, which means that during the academic year, teacher students are received for their work-based training, VFU.

We are now seeking a dedicated teacher in German and English who wants to develop our students' language skills!
Job Responsibilities
In this position, you will teach grades 6-9 in German and English, and serve as a mentor in grade 8. Your task as a primary school teacher is to plan instruction based on the curriculum and also carry out broader planning together with colleagues. You shall individually and together with colleagues follow up, evaluate, and analyze instruction as well as assess and document students' knowledge development. You are responsible for creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that contributes to students' goal achievement. As a teacher, you are responsible for informing students and guardians about the student's knowledge development.
About You
You are a clear leader in the classroom with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, structure, and context for all students. You are well versed in the school's governing documents. You differentiate and vary instruction based on students' needs. You share your knowledge and experience to contribute to collegial learning. An important part of the teaching role is building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Requirements
Teacher certification and qualification in German and English for grades 7-9.
Experience teaching at the upper secondary level, including grading.
Valid certificate from the criminal record register.
Good knowledge of Swedish language in speech and writing.
Employment Type
The position is a temporary contract, part-time 70%, from and including 2026-10-26 to and including 2027-06-14.
