The Children and Youth Department is responsible for preschools, after-school programs, primary schools, and adapted primary schools for grades F-9. In total, we are approximately 1100 people working to provide quality services for our children and students today and prepare them for the future. In some cases, the school's support measures become insufficient over time, and the school finds that it lacks the knowledge, expertise, or other means to further intensify its efforts. To support these students who need long-term support services, Alingsås Municipality has an organization where students can be placed in a significantly smaller setting, with few contacts, a simplified environment, and teaching tailored to each student's needs.

DUTIES
As a primary school teacher / special education teacher, you work closely with students throughout the school day alongside an interdisciplinary team consisting of teachers, social pedagogues, and student assistants. Together you create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment based on students' individual needs.
An important part of your role is to plan and conduct teaching with a focus on clarifying pedagogy, structure, and accessibility. You work largely with individual students, but also with smaller student groups based on their needs and circumstances.
Together with the unit manager and work team, you participate in developing operations toward the school's goals and governing documents. You work systematically and with support from current research and proven experience to develop instruction and create good conditions for students' learning and development.
You will also collaborate with the social pedagogue and student assistants on the team regarding students in need of special support. Your duties include establishing, following up, and evaluating intervention programs, as well as contributing pedagogical expertise and support to colleagues in work with accommodations and special support.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking someone with a primary school teaching degree, and it is advantageous if you have a special education teaching degree. Experience working with children or students in special needs is a requirement, while training in special needs is advantageous.
As a teacher, you have strong commitment to students' development and learning. You are a secure and inspiring educator with the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
You have a solution-focused approach, are positive, and spread work joy. You are a good role model, are resourceful, have good organizational skills, and are proactive in pedagogical work.
