Ref: 20261980 Job Responsibilities We are now seeking an elementary teacher for the after-school program at Oxievångsskolan's adapted elementary school! You will be part of our after-school team and become part of a wonderful group working toward the best school for every student! Oxievångs adapted elementary school was started in 2022 and has gradually grown to currently include seven classes. Our adapted elementary school has a primary focus on subject areas and is designed for students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Our activities take place in our own facilities at Oxie IP, where we have homebase classrooms, some subject-specific rooms, and a dining hall. The classrooms are equipped with modern adapted furnishings and interactive displays. As our after-school program is growing in student numbers, we are now seeking an elementary teacher for the after-school program. The position involves overall responsibility for designing the after-school activities and the administrative tasks related to the program. During school hours, you will be part of a classroom team and work in the classroom at certain times. In your role, you organize the work at the after-school program and lead your colleagues in their work. You adapt curriculum content to students' abilities and use clarifying and multimodal pedagogy as natural elements in your teaching. You develop the after-school learning environment to match students' needs. Together we create an activity that meets our students and guardians in the best way based on their individual needs! Qualifications You are a certified elementary teacher for after-school programs with experience working with students in adapted elementary school. It is a merit if you have experience working as an elementary teacher in after-school programs. You have knowledge and experience with functional variations and npf. You have a low-affect approach and are a good relationship builder. Your view of students is characterized by a belief that all students can and should develop their full potential. You see the value in collegial collaboration and learning together. You have initiative and a desire to develop and move things forward. In the team, you demonstrate good cooperation skills and a positive approach. Furthermore, you have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply them in your daily work. You also have good didactic and pedagogical skills that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create a good study environment and learning atmosphere for our students throughout the day. Your teaching is modern and based on evidence-based research; you develop your work with good knowledge and experience using relevant digital tools effectively. We look forward to your application!
