Ref: 20262104 Job Responsibilities We are now recruiting a primary school teacher for after-school care at Örtagårdsskolan. Örtagårdsskolan has five units with approximately 35 children per unit. This position is linked to grade 1. Each after-school care program has its own base room but also uses classrooms and group rooms in the afternoons. We also collaborate with adapted primary school after-school care units. We have a high proportion of qualified staff, which invites collegial collaboration with a main focus on developing the after-school care activities. You will be part of our large after-school care team and become part of a wonderful group consisting of an assistant principal for after-school care, lead teacher for after-school care, primary school teachers for after-school care, and support staff who strive for every student's best experience in after-school care and school! As a primary school teacher in after-school care with us, you will plan and conduct instruction in the after-school program so that students develop based on their abilities. During school hours, you will be responsible for music instruction in grades 1 and 2 in half-class groups, and support during breaks and transitions. The position involves work during school hours and may, based on your qualifications and experience, also include other tasks within the program. Planning time and meetings are scheduled during school hours. Together we create an activity that meets our students and guardians in the best way based on their individual needs! Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified after-school care teacher. Previous experience in the profession is a merit. It is also advantageous if you have qualifications in and/or experience with music instruction at the primary level. You have good insight into and knowledge of school regulations and apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical abilities that allow you to independently lead and organize your work to create a good study environment and positive learning atmosphere for our students throughout the day. Your instruction is modern and based on evidence-based research; you develop your work and, with good knowledge and experience, work effectively with relevant digital tools. You are interested in working in a multicultural environment where you see differences as assets. You have knowledge of and experience working with students on the autism spectrum and can adapt instruction for students with special needs. You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. We look forward to your application! About the Workplace Örtagårdsskolan is a grade F-9 primary school and a grade 1-9 adapted primary school. In total, we have approximately 480 students. The after-school care program at the primary school has approximately 180 students. The school is located in a green area with many different play areas nearby. Lower and middle school each have two parallel classes and upper school has one parallel class. The after-school care program has four age-homogeneous units and an after-school club for the oldest students. Each unit has approximately 35 students and is led by two primary school teachers for after-school care together with one to two support staff based on student needs.
