At Videdalsskolan we are developing our leisure time activities program and are seeking an additional primary school teacher for leisure time activities with a focus on visual arts. You will join one of our leisure time activity teams for grades F-6 and need to be prepared to teach grades F-6. As a primary school teacher in our leisure time program, you plan and deliver instruction in your subject area, plan and implement leisure activities, often as part of school work. Based on curricula and governing documents, we together create a safe environment in the leisure time program aimed at strengthening our students in both their knowledge development and personal development while ensuring children have meaningful leisure time. During the school day you deliver instruction in one or more subjects you are qualified to teach. You may also collaborate in a class but then only in the same grade level you are responsible for in the leisure time program. The lower grades and leisure time programs have access to a full-size gymnasium, music hall, home economics classroom, and craft workshops, all to make the leisure time program's activities and your own instruction as stimulating and creative as possible. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher for leisure time activities and hold certification in Visual Arts. If you also hold certification in Technology, we view that as an asset. It is an asset if you have previous experience in the profession. You have good insight and knowledge of school curricula and guidelines and can apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have strong didactic and pedagogical skills that enable you to independently lead and organize your work to create a conducive study environment and a creative learning and play atmosphere.
