Ref: 20262085 Job Responsibilities Are you a dedicated and skilled teacher in mathematics and science who wants to be part of developing instruction together with your colleagues? As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating instruction based on students' needs, the school's governing documents, and our shared teaching principles. You work with clear structure and high expectations and vary your instruction to provide all students with good conditions for success. You collaborate closely with colleagues in subject teams and contribute actively to the school's collective work for learning, study environment, safety, and attendance. You follow students' academic development and use results and other data to develop instruction and ensure students receive appropriate support. The position also includes mentoring responsibilities. Together with colleagues, you monitor students' academic and social development and maintain contact with both students and guardians. In the coming years, the school's development work has a particular focus on developing and ensuring high quality in instruction as well as actively promoting student attendance. We work based on shared teaching principles where students' prior knowledge, varied instruction and assessment, and a language-developing approach are central. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher authorized to teach mathematics and science in grades 7–9. You have great commitment to students' learning and a desire to develop your instruction based on both experience and current research. You are clear and structured in your leadership and have the ability to build good relationships with students. You recognize the importance of creating a trusting climate where students feel safe, included, and motivated to learn. You have high expectations for all students and actively work to remove barriers to their learning. We would appreciate it if you have experience teaching mathematics and science at the secondary level and a particular interest in developing instruction within these subjects. You are accustomed to following up on students' academic development and using results and other data to plan next steps in instruction. You are team-focused and place great value on building good working relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You contribute your experiences and ideas while remaining curious about others' perspectives.
