About the Position The rector's district has established and well-functioning student health teams with the professions of special education teacher, speech-language pathologist, school psychologist, school nurse, school counselor, assistant principals, and principal. All functions are motivated by continuous development and working together so that students reach as far as possible during their study and leisure time. Then this position might be for you. We are seeking a certified special education specialist with the role of coordinator for Gribbylunds rector's district at 100% permanent employment. You will divide your time evenly between both schools. About the Workplaces Two schools with great opportunities. Gribbylunds rector's district includes Myrängens adapted primary school grades 1-6 and Ängsholmsskolan grades 7-9 and upper secondary school. Currently, a total of 112 students attend both schools. The school offers after-school activities and short-term supervision (KTT) after school hours. Job Description We are seeking you to work as a special education specialist in adapted primary and upper secondary schools and want to be part of developing the rector's district and the schools' student health teams. In the role of special education specialist, you participate in the schools' student health teams and have a health-promoting and preventive focus. Your main task is to systematically work together with teachers for students in need of support (organizational level, group level, individual level) and to work with quality assurance of documentation processes such as USS (investigation of special support), intervention programs, and pedagogical assessments, among others. You are expected to have an active role in analyses related to mapping materials and, together with responsible educators, develop measures to help all students reach as high a level as possible. The position also includes mentoring teaching staff and student assistants regarding compensatory aids and study techniques, conducting classroom observations, and preparing materials for applications such as operational support. The school relies on the approach of inclusive behavioral support in schools (IBIS) to create a safe and inclusive environment for our students. As a coordinator, you are responsible for coordinating the rector's district's student health initiatives in collaboration with existing special education teachers. In dialogue with other professionals within the local student health team, you ensure the school's preventive, health-promoting, and intervention measures. You participate in student health meetings and document in Prorenata. Qualifications You have a degree as a special education specialist. You have experience working with several different student groups/functional variations, including students with intellectual disabilities. You have good knowledge of accommodations, special support, and the school's governing documents. You have good communication skills, are clear, humble, and straightforward in communication, and can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. You have a talent for building good relationships and collaborating with students, guardians, colleagues, the school's student health team, and school leadership. You are flexible and have a good ability to motivate others, both students and staff (teachers and student assistants). You have a professional and positive attitude and can see challenges as opportunities. It is advantageous if you have documented experience working with IBIS/PBS and LGRA-22 or teaching in adapted school settings. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
