We are now seeking a nurse for a residential care facility in Borlänge municipality. The position may involve work in our pool, where you get the opportunity to meet people at different facilities, or as a patient-responsible nurse at one of our facilities, where you can follow their progress over time. Nurses in residential care are part of the health and care services within the care administration. We have eight residential care units with different focuses such as dementia care, respite care, short-term care, and somatic care. This gives you the opportunity to meet people in different situations and to develop within several areas of municipal health and care. WORK TASKS Work close to the patient where your skills make a difference! As a nurse with us, you'll have an important role in the resident's daily life. You meet people with different needs, circumstances, and life experiences, and you're part of the effort toward person-centered care. In your interactions, you assess, perform, and evaluate interventions in consultation with the resident. You work to strengthen the resident's sense of security, independence, and quality of life, and you see both the person's current situation and what may be needed going forward. In your work, you collaborate with care staff, other licensed professionals, and various actors within the region. You become a valuable part of the team around the residents and contribute your expertise in striving toward person-centered care. The work is independent and varied, giving you great opportunities to plan and structure your workday based on the residents' situation and the facility's conditions. You make independent assessments, prioritize, and make decisions based on each person's current situation. Part of the role is also to support and mentor care staff in both care-related and medical matters. By sharing your knowledge, you help the entire team create the best possible conditions for the residents. QUALIFICATIONS Basic requirements for the position: Nursing license. Very good oral and written Swedish skills. Personal qualities: We're looking for someone who is confident, engaged, and solution-oriented, and who keeps the residents' situation in focus. You're comfortable taking on responsibility, working independently, and making decisions, while also valuing close collaboration with colleagues and other professionals. You're responsive, flexible, and organized, and you have an easy time building trusting relationships. With a positive approach, you contribute to security for the residents and a good work environment. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and contributing to development and quality in the operation. Meritorious qualifications: Specialist nurse qualification Experience with: • municipal health and care services, particularly residential care • working with elderly and patients with complex care needs • working with people with dementia • working with people at end of life • mentoring and teamwork Other relevant education Class B driver's license Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: Start date by agreement. Working hours: Daytime.
