JOB DUTIES As a special education teacher at Gunnarsboskolan 4-6 and Mullsjö Anpassad grundskola, you work in close collaboration with the principal, student welfare, and other school staff. You will be part of the school's student welfare team, which consists of school leadership, counselor, special education teacher, school nurse, occupational therapist, special teacher in mathematics and Swedish, and social pedagogue. You work in a health-promoting, preventive, and remedial manner both strategically and in daily practice. Together with teachers, you are also responsible for documenting pedagogical assessments, investigations, and support programs. You should be able to create good learning situations and participate in and be responsible for school development. As a special education teacher, you are a key person in the school's development. You work both strategically and closely with students, focusing on accessible learning environments, early interventions, and sustainable solutions. You will, among other things: • Support and mentor teachers and work teams on special education issues • Assess students' needs and contribute to pedagogical investigations • Design, follow up, and develop extra adjustments and special support • Work closely with the student welfare team, guardians, and external actors • Drive the school's development work on inclusion and equality QUALIFICATIONS Requirements • Certified teacher. • Special education degree. • Experience working in primary school and preferably anpassad grundskola. • Good knowledge of: The Swedish Education Act • The curriculum (Lgr22) • Work with extra adjustments and special support • Pedagogical assessments, investigations, and support programs Meritorious • Experience from grades 4-6. • Experience working in student welfare teams. • Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF). • Expertise in accessible learning environments and inclusive teaching. • Experience in school development and change work. • Pedagogical and special education competence The person hired should be able to: • Identify and analyze barriers to learning at individual, group, and organizational levels. • Conduct pedagogical assessments and investigations with high quality. • Provide qualified mentoring to teachers and work teams. • Design and follow up interventions for students in need of support. • Create long-term solutions that strengthen the school's ability to meet students' diversity. • Work from a relational and inclusive perspective.
